I watched One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest last night. I can't believe Jack Nicholson is now in movies like The Bucket List. Unless maybe he wrote "star in a cheesy buddy film with Morgan Freeman" on the list of things he wanted to do before he died.
A decent "anti-Jack" stunt performance like About Schmidt notwithstanding, I'd put it somewhere right around Tim Burton's Batman when Nicholson sadly disappeared into his own ass.
It's too bad. But the same thing happened to Pacino, De Niro, Brando, eventually...They started playing themselves playing a character. There must be some sort of reason for it.

So funny, sad, and true. My favorite Nicholson movie, the one where I finally understood his greatness and former hotness, is Chinatown.
Chinatown is great as well. Oh, and for the record, I'm obsessed with young Marlon Brando. So....UNBELIEVABLY SMOKING HOT.
I guess some actors feel like they've already proven themselves, then just get lazy and go for the easy paycheck.
