Name our party

My roommate Ern and I have decided to throw a Valentine's Day cocktail party on February 14th. One rule, though: no couples allowed. Only single people and people whose Very Important Others are out of town (Carolina once told me "I like that term Americans use for boyfriends and girlfriends. What is it again? Very Important Other?"). Anyways, the party needs a name. I am bad at naming things. Leave your suggestions in the comments, and maybe you'll win a prize.

Eileen and Ern's "We Need To Get Laid" Party

Hmmm...I was hoping for something a little less desparate-sounding.

I'm horrible at naming things too. The best I could come up with is, The "We'll have more fun than those couples" Cocktail Party.

Snog-Fest 2007

What about "I secretly wish I wasn't at this party" party? Or something along those lines.

Hmmm...so far, I like Love Potion Number 597 as well as Snog-Fest (not that I expect much snogging, but I do love the term "snog"). I'll probably end up choosing something boring like Valentine's Day Cocktail Party, though.

Not sure if this is too late for a suggestion, but I had a Valentines Party many many years ago that we called "days of wine and roses." We asked that our guests bring either (wait for it) sparkling wine or roses. Most brought wine, which was great because I don't think we had to buy any alcohol ourselves. It was one of my more successful parties, actually.

how about 'so lonely' - with mandatory playing on repeat of the reunited police?? or would that defeat the upbeat tone of our party?

Oooh, Tricia, good idea but we already chose Love Potion No. 597

I think our party would be the perfect venue for The Police to kick off their reunion tour.

How 'bout the "girls become lovers party" in honor of John Mayer?
