List #33....Things You May Not Know About Me

  1. I have an inability to determine whether fabrics are wet or dry. If you live with me, you will often be subjected to the following request: “Touch these clothes and tell me if they are dry yet.”
  2. I only found out yesterday that Heather Mills (Paul McCartney’s ex) is an amputee. Did everyone except for me already know this? Probably.
  3. In eighth grade, I once called the boy I liked and played the cassette tape of “More Than Words” by Extreme into the receiver when he answered.
  4. Along with Snoop Dogg and Sublime, I am originally from Long Beach, California.
  5. When I watch the Red Sox play the Yankees, I have a special voice I use to make fun of Jorge Posada that involves me pretending that I have a lisp. "Hey Pothada, where's the ball?" As an aside, check out the new Sportcenter commercial with Ortiz and Pothada.
  6. I love love love cheesy movies about dancing. To the point that I signed up for a ballroom dance class. It starts on Monday. The odds of me being taller than all the guys in the class? Fairly high.

If you liked the movie "Step Up", our friendship ends here.

That's one of the few I haven't seen, but I admit that I probably will like it.

My favorite dance movies include Dirty Dancing (obvs!), Center Stage, Shag (although technically not really a dance movie), and I even love the ridiculous ones like Shall We Dance, Save the Last Dance, and Take The Lead.

Um, in case you were wondering, that is.

haha ... you can HAVE our copy of 'Step Up' (Lori bought it, I swear!). It tries really hard to be 'Save the Last Dance', and throws in lots of standard cliches (race issues, dead people, trying to BE somebody to GET OUT of this place), and so forth.

Unfortunately, to make room for all the cliches they had to remove all the acting ability from the lead character. Such a shame ...

What about "You got Served"? It will cause you to repeat aforementioned phrase to everyone you see for a few days at the least. Or at least thats what the movie did to me.

hey, eileen, the stuff you put in the dryer this morning is dry. i checked before i went to work. you're welcome.

No, I haven't seen You Got Served yet, either. I'll be sure to check it out.

Sportscenter commercials rock so hard. Do you know who else rocks? the Red Sox. And dry clothes.

so you do also like bring it on and bring it on again? it's technically a cheerleading movie but you know what i say, cheerleading is just dancing with sluts. okay, i don't really say that but i think i might start.

somehow none of those items on the "you know me but you might not know this" lisp (he he) surprised me. i really love the "more than words" episode. my next book is going to be about you. when it becomes a movie, i think i'll have them cast ... hmm ... yeah, pamela anderson as you.

i orginally thought uma thurman but felt it was too cliche since you went as her for halloween!

cell phone sunday sunday sunday!

Buddes, that's so funny, I get mistaken for Pamela Anderson ALL THE TIME.

Yikes- Stomp the Yard only got 2 stars on IMDB.

IMDB might have been worrying about the acting and the plot (or lack thereof), when they should have been paying attention to the dancing. Especially the move that stole it all in the end. Liz and I decided that it's a sure way to win any argument or contest - just pull out that move and everyone instantly knows you've won.
