I wish there was onomatopoeia for the din-dun Law & Order sound so I could make it the title of this post

Look...Law & Order: SVU valentines! I especially like the "We make a great team!" with Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni because I heart both of them.

In other notes of the day, one of my coworkers and I decided to hit Mike's City Diner in the South End for a 7AM greasy breakfast before work, only to have our boss show up and sit at the table right next to us. Needless to say, we didn't do any complaining about work...

And bad news, people. Six more weeks of winter.

Chung! Chung!

Christopher Meloni is frickin' white-hot, just so long as he isn't trying to be funny, alĂ  Wet Hot American Summer. Not his best work. I prefer my Meloni a Catholic cop conflicted by his relentless pursuit of justice. Mmm...hot shirtless vengeance.

YES! The Law and Order noise can be captured with letters!
I do enjoy C. Meloni, and I once saw a made-for-tv movie where he played that L.A. cop who botched the OJ case (I think he found the glove) then went to Connecticut to try to get the dirt on that old Kennedy nephew murder case. The movie wasn't very good (ya think?) but I watched the whole thing because Meloni was in it. My real Law & Order love is Vincent D'Onofrio, though.

Isn't the outcome always 6 more weeks of winter? I can't seem to remember a time in recent history when the groundhog actually predicted a shorter winter - can you? I guess I could look this up, but I'm too lazy!

I watched the MOW for two reasons (1) possibility of Shirtless!Meloni and (b) the murder happened in the town I spent my HS years in. Heard about it my first Halloween in town and never really got the magnitude (esp Kennedy connection) until I went to ND.

beth- i also think it's always 6 more weeks of winter.

brigita- and i thought i was the only one who watched it! that's crazy you went to HS there. It was always a big story here in boston because of the kennedy connection.
