Fashion tip for tall girls

I have a whole bunch of cute t-shirts I can't wear because they shrunk just enough to expose my midriff and reveal the dreaded muffin top syndrome. I don't know why I kept them, but now I'm glad I did, because I have discovered a remedy: buy a long tank top, wifebeater style (you can get them on the cheap at Target or Old Navy), and layer it under your t-shirt. Instant solution to the shrinkage problem!

Can you ever hear the word shrinkage and not think of George Castanza? Similarily, I can never say Milwuakee without pronouncing it Mil-eh-wah-kay, Alice Cooper style.

hmmm...any fashion advice for short girls? I think when you are short, like me, muffin topping happens faster becuase there is no where else for the...excess, shall we say, to go!

I would think that if you're short, at least your shirt would be long enough to cover it :)

party on, garth.

You're right Eileen, it does cover it, but it doesn't "mask" it. :)

I've never heard that term before; the wiki entry is hilarious (I like the picture of an actual muffin for description).

I, too, have struggled with the ever-shrinking shirt. And have also discovered the long tank top solution - it's great. -Fellow long & tall (aka Lauren)

what does it say about someone who is short but have a disproportionately long torso??

Lauren, I knew it would be a good tip for you! Tina, I think it works for short girls with long torsos as well.
