Science in the news

Lions and tigers and hybrid bears, oh my!

A scientific study demonstrates evidence that women can innately identify men who would make good fathers by analyzing their faces. Not all women, apparently. Oh, poor Brit-Brit.

Much like this study, I'm so facinated by the fact that birth control influences the type of guy a woman chooses for a "mate." Fortunately, I wasn't on the pill when I met The Mister, so there shouldn't be any kind of "what did I ever see in you?" shock when I eventually go off of it. :)

Wow, I didn't know that! Maybe it explains some of my past choices...

PS: My sibs and I cracked ourselves up all through dinner on Sat. discussing possible animal hybrids, as we quickly moved on from the impossible cuteness of a Pandoala to the marketability of an Iguanapus.
